Our Story:

Our owner and teacher Steve Horvath has been teaching guitar for 17 years and has been playing and studying guitar for over 25 years.

As Steve’s teaching schedule reached capacity, he began to mentor one of his advanced students (Josh) to help with the teaching load. When Josh had a full student load, Steve brought on board a student at the University of North Texas (Mike) who was studying in their Jazz program and knowledgeable in advanced Jazz, Rock, and Country styles. As things continued to grow, Steve’s wife Courtney joined the team to handle administrative duties and customer relations.

Josh and Mike no longer teach with us, but we will forever be grateful for the foundation they helped to build in our early days! Currently we have a wide variety of teachers who are each unique in their education and music experience, and it is our goal to help you find the best fit to help you grow as a student and musician!

Mission:

Our primary mission at Guitar Lessons Wylie Texas is to challenge our students in a way that is FUN and EXCITING while respecting each student’s current age, abilities, and musical goals. Our goal is to be a place where our students look forward to their lessons and to making music!
